Planning care in London

OMEGA accepts a physician referral or its self-referral form. Its funded-IVF update asks patients already on the list to contact their physician office for an individual status update; it does not publish a single wait that applies to everyone. Ask each London clinic which appointments and procedures take place at the location you choose.

Questions to ask

  • • Am I waiting for a consultation, treatment readiness, or a funded IVF allocation?
  • • Where will monitoring, retrieval and embryo transfer take place?

Funding, benefits, medication, and financing

These categories stay separate because a funded cycle, tax credit, drug benefit, and clinic payment plan are not interchangeable.

Provincial public funding

Ontario Fertility Program

Funds one IVF cycle per patient per lifetime at participating clinics, plus unlimited IUI cycles and one medically indicated fertility-preservation cycle.

Medication: Fertility medications, genetic testing, and ongoing storage are not covered by the program.

Eligibility and access: Ontario residency and a valid health card are required; funded IVF is available to patients under age 43. Clinic waitlists are managed locally.

Ontario: Get fertility treatments

Provincial tax credit

Ontario Fertility Treatment Tax Credit

Refunds 25% of eligible fertility-treatment and surrogacy expenses, up to a $5,000 credit per year.

Medication: Prescribed fertility medication may be eligible when it meets the program rules and is not reimbursed elsewhere.

Eligibility and access: Available for eligible expenses paid from January 1, 2025 onward for goods and services provided entirely in Canada.

Private insurance or employer benefits

Plan-specific coverage

Clinic-level private-benefit participation is not systematically documented for Ontario. Check both the treatment benefit and the prescription-drug benefit; they often have different limits.

Clinic financing

Payment plans

No clinic profile on this page currently contains an explicit, source-backed financing statement. Ask clinics directly rather than assuming financing is unavailable.

CARTR Plus is context, not a ranking

BORN Ontario operates CARTR Plus with the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society to support national fertility-treatment data collection. The 2025 annual report names participating clinics and networks for 2024, allowing 1 exact clinic or network match on this page. Participation is not a performance or quality score, and a network match does not establish separate reporting by each location.

Fertility law and family building

Surrogacy Laws in Canada

In Ontario, intended parents can be recognized without a court order when a written agreement is signed before conception, everyone has independent legal advice, and the surrogate consents in writing after the baby is 7 days old (All Families Are Equal Act). Up to four intended parents can be named.

Egg Donation Laws in Canada

Egg donation is altruistic across Canada; Ontario's All Families Are Equal Act confirms an egg donor is not a legal parent of the child by reason of the donation.

Public price found means at least one treatment amount appears in the clinic record. It does not establish what the fee includes or whether it applies network-wide.

No public price found means the current directory record has no public amount. It does not mean the clinic has no price or provides treatment free of charge.

Location type is only assigned when the record explicitly describes a treatment centre, satellite clinic, monitoring location, or off-site procedure pathway.

CARTR Plus is retained as source context only. Participation is not displayed as a clinic ranking or recommendation.

Inspection information is attached only after an exact entity match and is treated as compliance evidence, never as a ranking signal.
